Windows Tip: Lasso Icons
Select multiple icons at one time with this tip.
By Greg Melton
A handy way to select multiple icons at one time is to corral
them with a lasso. The lasso tool works on the desktop and within
Windows Explorer. Let Chris show you a few tips for using your
lasso to select icons on today's "Call for Help."
Put your lasso to use by following these steps:
Open your desktop.
On the desktop, find a bunch of icons you'd like to select.
Hold down the left mouse button and drag your mouse to draw a
lasso box around the icons.
Release the left mouse button when you're finished dragging the
lasso.
Once you release the lasso you'll see that all the items you
selected with the lasso are highlighted. To move them around,
just click and hold any highlighted item.
