If your Windows operating system crashes, don't press the reset button on the front of your computer just yet. Instead, try this trick to restart your computer: Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.

If you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete once, Windows displays a dialog box listing your open applications. If you see a "Not Responding" next to an open application or process, just highlight and click "End Task." Be patient while the application or process is being ended because it may take some time.

If you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete twice, your computer will reboot.
